Pattaya, Thailand is often referred to as “the sex capital of the world”. Prostitution and fishing are two of the leading industries in Pattaya, resulting in high rates of sex and labor trafficking. Trafficking leaves nearly 2,000 children homeless in Pattaya alone. One-third of Thai families will experience verbal or physical abuse.
58:12 Thailand, was launched to provide hope and healing to the most vulnerable in Pattaya. Our mission targets in Pattaya are various outreach programs and food ministries that serve the most vulnerable. You can help us make a difference in Thailand.
Jacob & Karly Raber, our 58:12 Thailand directors, are transitioning home summer of 2025. They will continue in their roles as directors and manage the Thailand team from the States. With their remaining time in Pattaya, the Rabers are finalizing the staff and volunteers that will continue to operate the ministry locally. They are currently raising support to help with the cost of moving their family home. If you’d like to donate, follow the link below, and join us as we pray for the Raber family as they prepare for their move.
Our team does weekly home visits with people in the community with the goal to share Christ’s love, pray, and be a source of comfort for the most vulnerable. Through the Home Visit Program, our team has had multiple people accept Christ into their hearts and continue to offer resources to deepen their relationship with God.
Our team hosts a number of outreaches each week including Kids Club for local children, a women’s outreach, and a men’s outreach. The goal of each outreach is to educate, equip, and empower members of the community by teaching about Christ and to form relationships of trust and acceptance.
At the beginning of the global shutdown in March of 2020, the outreach programs hosted by our team were put on pause. Knowing that there would be added suffering to many locals of Pattaya, our team began their “Ton of Rice” program with the goal to give away a ton of rice each year. Along with rice, they also pass out fresh vegetables that are grown in the garden at our complex. So far, our team has given away over 15 tons of rice, equalling more than 30,000 pounds.
