Why Uganda?

58:12 Uganda is transforming lives in Nakifuma, one vulnerable child and family at a time. Rooted in Isaiah 58:12—”rebuilding ancient ruins and restoring the streets where God’s people may dwell in His love and abundance”—we provide safe shelter, education, and compassionate care. Our journey began with a vision to build a home for a local grandmother and children in need. Since then, that home has become a haven for over 15 individuals, and our ministry has expanded to include vital education sponsorships and a vibrant monthly Kids Club outreach, sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Join us in rebuilding lives and restoring hope in Uganda.

How We're Serving

Education for Change

We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and unlocking a child’s full potential. In partnership with a Christian school in the community we serve, our program provides vulnerable children with more than just classroom learning.

We offer a holistic support system—including school tuition, emotional counseling, spiritual guidance, and in some cases, emergency shelter. We also encourage children to grow through sports and extracurricular activities, helping them build confidence, discipline, and leadership skills.

Our mission is to equip each child not only to dream big, but to have the tools and support to pursue those dreams.

Join us in raising a new generation of educated, empowered, and hopeful young leaders.

A Home of Hope and Healing

In 2018, a dream became reality—a home was built to serve as a safe haven for vulnerable children in the care of a remarkable woman named Robina.

Affectionately known as “Jajja” (grandmother), Robina has dedicated her life to nurturing and protecting those who have nowhere else to turn. Over the years, it’s estimated that she has cared for more than 50 children and grandchildren, providing not just shelter, but love, stability, and guidance.

Since the completion of the home in 2018, at least 12 children have found refuge within its walls. For each one, this home has been a turning point: a place of healing, safety, and renewed hope.

Your support helps us keep the doors open for the next child in need.

Called to Care

We are answering God’s call to serve vulnerable women and children with compassion, dignity, and purpose. Through practical support and intentional discipleship, we walk alongside those in crisis—offering not just relief, but the tools to rebuild.

We are currently offering support for two single-mother families in need, Maama Esther and the Bukolooto Family.

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
James 1:27

Together, we’re creating brighter futures rooted in faith, resilience, and lasting transformation.

Discipling the Next Generation

Each month, over 100 children from diverse family and religious backgrounds gather at our safe shelter to hear, learn, and live out the Word of God. These Kids Club gatherings are more than just events—they are a movement of young hearts being shaped by truth, love, and hope.

Through songs, stories, memory verses, games, and prayer, we are nurturing a generation that knows Jesus and makes Him known.

Due to the growing impact, we’ve recently launched a second Kids Club in another part of our community—welcoming over 200 children at our very first gathering there. God is moving, and so are we.

Together, we’re planting seeds of faith that will grow for a lifetime

Investing in Long-Term Sustainability

At 58:12 Uganda, we’re committed to building a ministry—and a community—that can thrive independently for years to come. Our vision is clear: to achieve partial and eventual full self-sustainability, both for our organization and the individuals we serve.

We’ve already taken our first steps with the development of a pig and chicken farm, designed to provide food, income, and vocational training.

We also launched our very first clean water well and water station in April 2025 that serves:

  • Our safe shelter

  • The new sustainability farm

  • And the surrounding community

These efforts are not just about survival—they’re about empowering people to flourish.

A Vision for Transformation: The 58:12 Community Center

58:12 Uganda is preparing to launch a bold new initiative: a first-of-its-kind Community Center in the region we serve. This transformative hub will act as a catalyst for social, educational, economic, and spiritual development, with a strong focus on outreach programs that uplift vulnerable populations.

Designed as a multipurpose space, the center will host:

  • Community gatherings, workshops, and outreach events

  • Training programs to equip local leaders—especially church leaders—to better serve their communities

  • Kids Clubs, youth mentorship, and discipleship programs

  • Public library, classrooms, and conference rooms for education and leadership development

  • Office space for 58:12 Uganda’s operations and local project coordination

  • Outdoor sports fields that encourage teamwork, wellness, and character-building for young men and women

More than just a building, the 58:12 Community Center will be a launchpad for sustainable change, empowering individuals and strengthening the heartbeat of entire communities.

Partner with us in building a future filled with hope and opportunity.
